YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, review, and maintain cable and wiring diagrams for converter systems used in light rail vehicles.
  • Analyze and interpret electrical circuit diagrams; provide technical input to improve system robustness and manufacturability.
  • Design and validate electrical circuits using Zuken E3, in accordance with internal templates, standards, and applicable norms.
  • Perform cable loss and electrical performance calculations in cooperation with the power electronics team.
  • Design and support the development of wire harnesses, including documentation, system integration, and interface definition.
  • Create and review cable assembly and converter assembly instructions to ensure efficient and error-free production.
  • Support pre-production and ramp-up activities, including prototype builds, testing, and technical clarifications.
  • Contribute to operation manuals, system documentation, and technical specifications.
  • Participate in life cycle cost calculations and technical evaluations, collaborating with engineering, production and project management teams.
  • For senior engineers: act as a technical reference, mentor junior colleagues and contribute to concept development and standardization activities.

OUR REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree or advanced technical education in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Suitable for junior, mid-level and senior engineers; responsibilities will be tailored to experience level.
  • Interest in or experience with electrical systems, power electronics or railway applications.
  • Experience with Zuken E3 or comparable ECAD tools is an advantage; willingness to learn is essential.
  • Structured and detail-oriented working style, with a strong focus on quality and documentation.
  • Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Good communication skills in German as a plus.
