YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, review, and maintain cable and wiring diagrams for converter systems used in light rail vehicles.
- Analyze and interpret electrical circuit diagrams; provide technical input to improve system robustness and manufacturability.
- Design and validate electrical circuits using Zuken E3, in accordance with internal templates, standards, and applicable norms.
- Perform cable loss and electrical performance calculations in cooperation with the power electronics team.
- Design and support the development of wire harnesses, including documentation, system integration, and interface definition.
- Create and review cable assembly and converter assembly instructions to ensure efficient and error-free production.
- Support pre-production and ramp-up activities, including prototype builds, testing, and technical clarifications.
- Contribute to operation manuals, system documentation, and technical specifications.
- Participate in life cycle cost calculations and technical evaluations, collaborating with engineering, production and project management teams.
- For senior engineers: act as a technical reference, mentor junior colleagues and contribute to concept development and standardization activities.
OUR REQUIREMENTS
- Degree or advanced technical education in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Suitable for junior, mid-level and senior engineers; responsibilities will be tailored to experience level.
- Interest in or experience with electrical systems, power electronics or railway applications.
- Experience with Zuken E3 or comparable ECAD tools is an advantage; willingness to learn is essential.
- Structured and detail-oriented working style, with a strong focus on quality and documentation.
- Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.
- Proficiency in English.
- Good communication skills in German as a plus.
