Your tasks

As an IT Manager, you will oversee end-to-end IT service delivery and operational excellence within Division North America. This role ensures that IT services, infrastructure, and business applications run smoothly, align with business needs, and adhere to global Group IT standards. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in IT infrastructure management, operational stability, service delivery, project management, and agile working practices. Acting as the bridge between divisional IT needs and central Group IT governance, you will ensure alignment, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
IT Service Delivery & Operations
• Ensure reliable operation, availability, and performance of IT services within the division.
• Lead incident, problem, and change management processes in collaboration with Group IT.
• Oversee global and local IT support activities, ensuring service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Monitor and enhance IT performance through KPIs, dashboards, and reporting.

IT Governance & Compliance
• Align divisional IT operations with Group IT strategy, governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Collaborate with Group IT teams to standardize IT processes, tools, and best practices.
• Ensure risk management, business continuity, and IT service resilience within the division.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management
• Act as the primary IT liaison between divisional leadership, business units, and Group IT.
• Manage relationships with external IT vendors. Ensuring effective service delivery and contract performance.
• Ensure local or divisional business plans are aligned with group IT budget.

People & Team Leadership
• Lead and develop a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Provide mentorship, career development, and upskilling opportunities for IT staff.
• Promote a shift-left approach by empowering teams with self-service capabilities and automation.
• Foster a strong cross-functional collaboration between IT and business teams.

Continuous Improvement & Transformation
• Drive IT automation, optimization, and process improvements for better efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Support digital transformation and modernization efforts within the division
• Implement best practices for agile service delivery and operational excellence.

Your profile

Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IT service delivery, IT operations, or IT infrastructure management.
• Strong understanding of ITIL4, agile methodologies, and enterprise IT governance.
• Proven experience in managing people, IT services and operations, vendors, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Hands-on experience with IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
• Ability to balance strategic priorities with operational stability.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making abilities
• Business fluent in English (German is a plus)
• Excellent technical writing skills (Office suite)
