As an Electrical Engineering Team Lead, you will oversee the Electrical Schematics and Electrical Installation teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing electrical cabinets, wire harnesses, and grounding for electro-mechanical train components. This leadership role involves managing engineering capacity, ensuring project compliance, and fostering team growth through training and mentorship.
Key Activities
• Continuous development and management of the Electrical Installation and Schematics team.
• Manage work packages within project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Office), ensuring accurate capacity planning and task allocation
• Preparation of installation drawings, schematics and production documentation with the team
• Working in PLM systems (SmarTeam, Teamcenter) and tooling landscapes to streamline workflows
• Change management based on feedback from production and in alignment with the Lead Engineer
• Facilitate the adoption of the current designs to American Railway Standards
Creation/Optimization and establishment of engineering processes, guidelines, and work instructions
• Ensuring that the relevant electrical engineering work packages adhere to both cost and schedule requirements
• Collaboration with cross functional department (System Engineers, Mechanical, Project Management, Production, and Quality) throughout product development stages
• Lead technical releases of articles, 3D models, drawings, and associated documentation, ensuring adherence to project specifications
• Ensure all electrical installation, schematic and design activities meet company standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications
Your profile
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.• 5+ years in electrical engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Knowledge of Catia V5 or other 3D-Modelling tools
• Experience with Zuken E3, JIRA, and Smarteam/Teamcenter is advantageous
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proven management experience within an engineering team
• Familiarity with production processes and installation instructions
• Ability to effectively function in an international working environment
