We are looking to recruit a UK Technical Training Assessor to join the Training and Competence team. The role will be based required to support our Leicester and Glasgow sites but you could be required to support any of our other UK locations listed above. Reporting to the Head of Training and Competence.

Role Overview:

As a UK Technical Training Assessor, you will support the business by delivering equipment training courses and assessments to assist with the introduction of the Stadler locomotive fleet within the UK, while also providing ongoing training and assessment for our Glasgow team supporting the Glasgow Metro. Building strong working relationships will be essential to ensure effective knowledge transfer, particularly when collaborating with our colleagues from Stadler Valencia (STAV) and Stadler Rheintal (STAR), who are responsible for design, build, testing, and commissioning activities.

To enhance your underpinning knowledge, factory visits and opportunities to work alongside the testing and commissioning teams onsite will be required. The experience and information gained must then be tailored and communicated at the appropriate level to equip our own technicians with the skills needed to carry out both preventive and corrective maintenance.

Experience:

Essential:
• Attainment of NVQ/BTEC Level 3 in a relevant Engineering discipline (preferably Electrical bias)
• Experienced fault finding including remote and off platform diagnostics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience of applying coaching, mentoring or instructional skills in the workplace.
• Excellent IT skills and ability to work with the Microsoft Office packages.
• Proactive Attitude with willingness to travel.

Desirable:
• Experience of working on new Rail Vehicles
• Experience of systems such as Vehicle Control, Digital Networks, Communication, Safety Systems, HVAC, Propulsion, PIS CCTV, and Door Systems.
