The Institute of Psychology at the Faculty of Human Sciences at the University of Bern is looking for an Assistant Professor Tenure Track for Social Psychology with a Focus on Environmental Psychology as of February 1, 2027, or by agreement.The Assistant Professorship Tenure Track for Social Psychology with a Focus on Environmental Psychology represents the subject in research and teaching in the bachelor's and master's program of psychology. With its focus on environmental psychology, the assistant professorship contributes to the sustainability focus of the University of Bern's Strategy 2030. Participation in university networks and initiatives in the field of sustainable development is desirable. Upon positive evaluation, progression to an associate professorship is planned.
Requirements
Requirements for appointment are a PhD in psychology (e.g., social psychology, environmental psychology), excellent scientific achievements appropriate to the career level (publications, third-party funding), the potential to establish an innovative, socially relevant, and forward-looking research program in social psychology with a focus on environmental psychology, and relevant experience in academic teaching. The successful candidate is expected to be able to teach in German by the end of the tenure track.About the University of Bern
