Our common goal

In this role, you will be part of the Financial Institutions (FI) team at PostFinance, responsible for the business relationship with international correspondent banks, covering both network management and sales for global transaction banking's services (FX, cash management and payment solutions). As a Front Compliance Officer FI, you will support the relationship managers in performing KYC and periodical risk-based client reviews, fulfilling internal and international compliance policies and procedures, maintaining long-term client relationships. You will interact with banks, manage their inquiries, and solve problems in the day-to-day business.

How you can make a difference

  • You will serve as the primary point of contact for KYC/AML inquiries related to correspondent banking and broader compliance matters, supporting both internal stakeholders and external partners
  • You will be able to conduct periodic and risk-based reviews of existing FI business relationships (including analysis of cross-border transactions) and perform risk assessments of potential new FI clients
  • You perform enhanced KYC and due diligence procedures on our partner banks, according to the risk categories
  • You can identify potential compliance risks, take appropriate actions and adequate risk mitigation measures according to internal compliance directives and AML, fraud, and sanctions' policies, escalating issues identified along the review processes
  • You will be working closely with our internal stakeholders such as legal and compliance (especially with compliance officers), operations, and product management
  • You will also be expected to handle daily business requests in a timely and concise manner and provide tailor-made solutions for our correspondent banks as part of your broader responsibilities when operational support is required.
  • You will support the Financial Institutions Relationship Management team in correspondent banking network development and sales activities

What you can contribute

  • Higher education such as FH/ University degree in law or economics or an equivalent experience/ education (for example Diploma of Advanced Studies in Compliance Management)
  • Experience in the payments and international banking industry, with preferred skills in FX, cash management and correspondent banking
  • Risk Management and Compliance Skills (focus in anti-money laundering and fraud requirements) and deep knowledge of KyC and Due Diligence practices (according to international standards)
  • Solution oriented personality with a pragmatic approach and readiness to work closely with colleagues and (internal and external) stakeholders
  • Very good command of English and German; other languages are an asset

If you meet the requirements for this job, we'll offer you a fair salary of between 115'000 and 130'000 per year (employment level of 100%).
But we're also interested in applications from talented people who don't yet meet all the requirements or who already have a lot of experience.
