Your tasks
As an HVAC Systems Engineer, you will be a member of an international team focused on creating and reviewing efficient designs for state-of-the-art passenger trains, managing complex interfaces, and integrating HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Create concepts, specifications and technical documentation for passenger train HVAC systems
• Responsible for the design and integration of HVAC systems into various rail vehicles
• Act as technical liaison for Stadler's contracted HVAC system suppliers
• Interpret and incorporate local, federal, and customer requirements into system design
• Define procurement documentation, type testing and commissioning documentation
• Support static and dynamic field testing of rail vehicles
• Responsible for performing First Article Inspections (FAI) of HVAC systems
• Follow scheduling, budgetary goals and guidelines
• Ensure clear and effective cross-departmental collaboration
Your profile
Qualifications• BS degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (HVAC emphasis is a plus)
• Independent and well-structured working methods for integrating multiple projects, conducting testing and preparing all deliverables associated with the system
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills
• Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills
• 1-2 (level-I) or 2-5 (level-II) years of direct experience with designing and defining HVAC systems in railway, defense, aerospace, automotive or similar industries
• Able to work in fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Self-motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative in order to maintain project timelines
• Business fluent in English (German is a plus)
