Project Description
- Independently planning, further developing, and delivery of compulsory and elective courses, as well as the creation of interactive e-tutorials on systematic literature searching and publication types (systematic and other reviews, clinical guidelines, etc.) for researchers and students.
- One-on-one consultations for researchers and master students
- Peer Review of Search Strategies
- Methodological contribution to (systematic) review research projects (responsible for conducting systematic literature searches; authoring the methods section and performing internal peer review of co-authored publications)
- Participation in and further development of the Evidence Synthesis Service at the Medical Library

- Support medical students in systematic literature searching and publication types
- Collaborate with researchers and clinicians at the University Hospital, Inselspital, on (systematic) review projects
- You will be part of a dedicated, internationally networked team where you will be able to contribute your ideas and experiences
- Participate in innovative expansions and further development of medical library evidence synthesis services
- Work in an open-minded, long-term oriented university library with a variety of interesting and challenging tasks
Your Profile
- Completed university degree in medicine, natural sciences, or a related field (Master's degree required; research experience or PhD desirable or several years of professional experience as an information specialist in medicine)
- Experience in conducting systematic literature searches in the context of evidence-based medicine
- Strong didactic skills; experience with various teaching and training formats (in-person and online); Further training in higher education didactics is an advantage
- Proficient with electronic media (databases, AI-based search tools)
- Programming skills (knowledge of one or more programming languages python, R, SQL)
- Flexible and adaptable to the changing conditions in (bio)medical research and offer support services accordingly
- Demonstrates strong collaborative spirit and independent initiative
- Excellent communication skills and strong customer orientation
- Proficient in German and English language skills (fluent / negotiation-level)
