Post-Doc position at the Center for Regional Economic Development (CRED)
The Department of Economics at the University of Bern is inviting applications for a Post-Doc position at the Center for Regional Economic Development (CRED). The position is for up to 4 years.
The Center for Regional Economic Development focuses on empirical and theoretical research in the areas of urban and regional economics, local public finance and real estate economics.
The successful candidate is expected to independently conduct academic and policy-relevant research and to contribute to the Center's research, third party projects and teaching activities. Teaching obligations are limited and can be arranged flexibly. Travel to reputable international conferences is encouraged and covered by a dedicated budget.
Applicants should hold a recent PhD in Economics, or be close to finishing their thesis. The successful candidate has demonstrated her or his potential to conduct high-quality research, by publications or working papers suitable for publication in reputable international journals. A sound command of oral and written English is mandatory; German language skills are not required.
