What We're Looking For: We are looking for an individual who is excited about future growth, eager to make a difference and ready to take begin their career working on the state of the art Metro Fleet Class 555.

Role Overview

By working closely with one of our approved training providers, you will learn the fundamentals necessary to become a qualified engineer.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced railway maintenance engineers at Gosforth Depot on the new class 555 fleet, when you are not at college.

This hands-on experience will allow you to apply what you have learned through your qualifications and understand what it takes to maintain our state-of-the-art trains that are transitioning into service in Newcastle.

What are we looking for?

Essential:
•Be aged 16 or over by 1st September 2025.
•4 GCSEs gained or predicted with grades A to C or 9-5 including Math's, English and Science or you'll hold an NVQ or BTEC Level 2 in an Engineering subject or equivalent.

Desirable:
•A keen interest in Engineering and the Railway.
•A desire to progress with a Rolling Stock maintenance environment.
•To live within 60 mins commute of your chosen depot.
