Your tasks
As a Welding Coordinator, you will be a viable member of an international team focused on creating and reviewing efficient designs for state-of-the-art passenger trains, managing complex interfaces, and maintaining responsibility for all welding operations at our facility.
Key Activities
• Perform as Level A Welding Coordinator for Class 1 welds of railway vehicles according EN 15085
• Review of welding-related requirements and product standards
• Technical review and release of specifications, welded joints, definition of weld performance class
• Welding Procedure Specification and Welding Procedure Qualification Record as per ISO 3834
• Defining suitability of welder's and operator's qualifications
• Definition of supplementary requirements for materials including testing and inspections
• Responsible for welding consumables
• Defining suitability of subcontractors for welding fabrication and welding equipment
• Perform welding audit as per AWS D1.2, AWS D1.1, EN 15085
Your profile
• BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent engineering field• Welding qualification (IWE/EWE); or (IWT/EWT) and evidence of comprehensive technical knowledge
• Minimum of 3 years of working experience with aluminum welding MIG and TIG
• Experience in Mechanical Engineering in railway, aerospace, automotive, defense or similar industries
• Working knowledge of 3D CAD and PDM software (CATIA V5 and SmarTeam experience is a plus)
• Able to work in fast-paced, collaborative international working environment
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent technical writing skills
