RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development and implementation of category strategies for service‑relevant material groups (spare parts, wear parts, overhauls)
  • Further development of the category strategy in close alignment with the production plants
  • Identification and realization of cost‑saving potentials as well as implementation of TCO optimization measures
  • Execution of detailed supply chain analyses to ensure a stable and efficient supply chain
  • Close collaboration with Engineering, Service Operations and other relevant interfaces
  • Benchmarking of international markets and derivation of suitable sourcing and optimization measures
  • Leading complex price and contract negotiations and concluding long‑term supplier agreements
  • Building, maintaining and further developing strategically relevant supplier relationships
  • Leading complex price and contract negotiations (duplicate removed in English version, but content preserved above)

PROFILE

  • Completed university degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a comparable field
  • Several years of experience in strategic procurement or category management, ideally in an industrial environment or the rail sector
  • Strong ability to work with complex technical and commercial contexts
  • Proven experience in international price and contract negotiations
  • Strong analytical skills and a confident approach to fact‑based decision‑making
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a clear focus on results
  • Fluent German and English skills (C1–C2 level) in both written and spoken form are required
  • Willingness to travel approx. 10% (on average around two business trips per month)
  • Confident use of MS Office applications and their effective integration into daily work
