FinOps Operation Specialist
80-100%, Bern and home office
As FinOps Operations Specialist, you are responsible for supporting and carrying out cost optimizations under the direct leadership of the FinOps Lead. You work closely with the DevOps team to ensure cost optimization strategies are technically feasible and implemented successfully. Moreover, you play a central role as technical enabler for FinOps governance, tools and automation. You help us ensure Swiss Post is using leading FinOps best practices in multi-cloud environments.
How you make a difference
- Working closely with the DevOps team, you successfully implement technical optimizations such as rightsizing, auto-scaling, instance planning and storage optimizations.
- You support the FinOps Lead in setting out and implementing cost optimization strategies in the cloud.
- By developing monitoring and alarm solutions, you help us to detect anomalies in the cloud systems ahead of time.
- You make targeted technical recommendations for cost-effective architecture in order to implement FinOps standards effectively.
- You automate and refine core FinOps processes, such as tagging compliance, anomaly detection and cost forecasts.
- You actively promote cross-unit FinOps integration by working together with the IT Service Center, Finance IT, architecture, the development platform and business IT teams.
What you have to offer
- You have many years of experience in multi-cloud environments with AWS and Azure, as well as substantial expertise in the field of cost optimization and automation.
- Cloud engineering, DevOps and FinOps are second nature to you, and you are ideally a FinOps Certified Practitioner or even a FinOps Certified Professional.
- You are an expert in FinOps best practices and cloud pricing models.
- Your technical prowess is attested by certifications as an AWS or Azure Solution Architect.
- You have robust expertise of BI solutions, such as Power BI, and are very knowledgeable of Microsoft 365.
- You have excellent SQL and IaC (e.g. Terraform) knowledge.
- You have a highly structured, proactive way of working, are able to convey complex topics clearly, and you enjoy working as part of a team.
- You speak fluent English and have good knowledge of German, or a willingness to refine these skills quickly.

We offer a fair salary of between 114'000 bis 129'000 per year (100% employment level), depending on experience and skills. Talented people with different skills are also welcome to apply. In such cases your salary may be slightly below or above the range
