Your job
- Develop, implement and manage applications in the energy sector, with a particular focus on trading and scheduling tools
- Support the integration of internal systems, databases and external services (APIs, market data sources)
- Work closely with the trading department to understand the company's needs and challenges, proposing innovative solutions based on your technical expertise
- Collaborate with developers and analysts to ensure the smooth operation of applications and their integration with existing systems
- Test, debug and maintain applications to ensure quality and reliability
- Monitor and optimise application performance, resolving any issues or inefficiencies
Your profile
- Degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field
- Good programming skills (university level or, preferably, brief work experience) in programming languages; Python mandatory, C# preferred
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
- Ability to perform structured work in a complex and dynamic environment, both in a team and individually
- Knowledge of relational databases; experience with MS SQL Server is preferred
- Basic knowledge of energy markets (or financial markets) and trading applications is preferred
- Knowledge of system design (Windows Server operating system, application servers, networks, security)
- Fluency in Italian and English is required, German constitutes a preferential qualification
