Tenure-Track Assistant Professorship in Theoretical Quantum Condensed Matter Physics
The Department of Physics at the University of Basel, Switzerland, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of an assistant professor in the area of Theoretical Quantum Condensed Matter Physics. The University of Basel conducts internationally recognized, leading research in quantum physics and quantum technologies, is home of the Swiss Nanoscience Institute and the two currently running National Centres for Competence in Research SPIN and PRECISION.
Your position
The new professor will be expected to conduct an excellent research program and contribute to teaching activities at all levels.
Your profile
We are looking for an outstanding theorist with proven expertise in the broad field of Quantum Condensed Matter Physics. The requirements include a PhD degree in physics or equivalent and an excellent track record of research achievements and publications in the field. Synergies between the candidate's research plans and the research activities conducted at the University of Basel in the areas of quantum condensed matter physics and quantum technologies are advantageous.
