Joint Maintenance Avionics Technician | Flight operations & support Air Force Payerne (f/m/d)

- Maintenance & repair: Performing scheduled maintenance intervals, including system replacement and testing
- Repairs & troubleshooting: Analyzing error messages, troubleshooting processes, and performing structural repairs
- Aircraft handover to pilots: Conducting the final pre-flight check
- Change orders, interim flight checks: Visual and functional inspections after each flight (aircraft and system condition)
- Active participation in domestic and international campaigns: Accompanying pilots/jet crews to training flights
- Work at military airfields: Working at Payerne air base and at other Swiss military airfields as needed
- Driver/Logistics Support: Transporting and loading spare parts, tools and specialized equipment within the airfield
What you should bring with you
- Technical vocational training (EFZ), ideally with an electrotechnical focus (e.g. automation technician, electronics technician, diagnostician or comparable profession)
- Professional experience and knowledge in flight operations and aircraft maintenance, ideally in a military environment, with the required module qualifications/licenses according to EASA Part-66, Category B1 (Mechanics) or B2 (Avionics) hiighly advantageous
- Category B driver's license mandatory, Category C/E advantageous
- Very good (technical) English (min. B1 level) as well as either conversational German or French skills combined with proficient PC user competences (MS Office/SAP) desired
- High level of commitment and flexibility (for QRA, AMA, AMI, night/weekend shifts, and deployment changes both domestically and internationally)
- Highly resilient, team-oriented personality with a reliable, precise work ethic and a strong sense of responsibility/safety awareness
- Swiss citizenship (due to workplace on military base)
