HOW YOU CAN MAKE AN IMPACT
Personnel:
• Support the production team by live monitoring the Class 777 performance during operational hours.
• Acting as a first point of contact for SRSUK customer, Merseyrail Electrics.
• Ensure all activities are carried out with due regard to safety standards and performance targets.
• Ensuring internal company database is regularly reviewed and updated with live information in relation to Class 777 fleet.
• Ensure that trains in service are safe, reliable and compliant with company procedures.
• Management of key safety accountabilities.
• Demonstrate ability to act in a professional manner.
• Good knowledge of Defective on Train Equipment (DOTE)
• Good systems knowledge
• Knowledge of Class 777 fault guide and the ability to offer advice to the train operator during a mainline failure.
Organisational:
• Responsible for adhering to safety/quality systems and support their implementation.
• Embed a zero harm culture within the production function, ensuring that the safety of individuals and products is prioritised at all times.
• Initiate and implement (where authorised) action to prevent product non-conformities, HSQ&E incidents, process or system deficiencies.
• Annual identification and quantification of risks in order to complete the risk register.
• Demonstrate values based behaviour.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
Essential:• Electrical & Mechanical time served (or equivalent) with a suitable level of shop floor experience.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Packages
• Experience with fleet maintenance, fault-finding, fault reporting and investigation.
• Knowledge of the 777 rolling stock units.
• Understanding of RDS tool.
• Knowledge of SRMS.
Desirable:
• Understand circuit diagrams.
• Stakeholder management.
• Experience with continuous improvement.
• Proven experience in the introduction of new trains and warranty management.
• Proven extensive experience in a large engineering environment.
• Knowledge of maintenance activities with a large multi-disciplined transport fleet.
• Knowledge and experience in advanced Lean, Kaizen and 6S techniques.
• Strong knowledge and experience of understanding risk and safety within a transport environment.
