- Managing and carrying out research projects to assess the ecological sustainability of the agricultural sector
- Further development and maintainance of the SALCA Database, the SALCAfuture tool and the emission models
- Strategic development and acquisition of third-party-funded projects in the research field
- Further development and customisation of models, methodologies and life-cycle inventories in the research field
- Publication of the results in international and national scientific journals
This makes you unique
- Achievement oriented and team-minded with a flexible personality
- Completed Doctorate in Agricultural or Environmental Sciences, or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Experience in database management and very good programming skills.
- A good understanding of the (Swiss) agricultural sector
- Knowledge of two official Swiss languages and a very good command of written and spoken English

As a Research Scientist in the Life Cycle Assessment of Agricultural Systems you will be responsible for the further development of the SALCA method and the tools of the LCA Research Group (in particular SALCAfuture) as well as the SALCA Life Cycle Inventory Database.
