KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

  • Lead global team of category managers
  • Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies aligned with overall business objectives
  • Conduct spend analysis, market research, supplier assessments, and demand forecasting to inform strategy
  • Train and guide a global team on the Mediclinic Category Management methodology to ensure consistent global maturity
  • Lead the end-to-end strategic sourcing process, including market analysis, supplier identification, tendering, and contract negotiations
  • Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships, including performance monitoring, audits, and supplier development initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to align specifications, requirements, and quality standards
  • Establish and lead Category Councils to support structured decision-making and stakeholder alignment
  • Define and monitor KPIs and SLAs to assess category performance and develop improvement measures

YOURE PROFILE

  • Master or Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in strategic and operational procurement, including product and process standardization as well as supplier bundling in complex environments
  • Strong leadership background in corporate and international settings, including team management and performance coaching
  • Excellent negotiation skills and proven ability to drive change and deliver results
  • Forward thinking, structured and strong communication skills
  • Fluent in German and English
