As part of the Milling Solutions Business Development team, you will drive the growth of the service business through strategic development, market analysis, and close collaboration with global, regional, and local teams for assigned regions. You will identify gaps in the current service portfolio, develop new business opportunities, and support regions through virtual coaching, targeted visits and customized trainings and joint customer activities. Together with Product Management and Marketing, you will roll out customer-focused solutions and ensure effective implementation. Your role also includes gathering structured market feedback and providing strategic recommendations to strengthen the regional footprint, to strengthen and expand the product portfolio offering and long-term business success.

  • You drive short- and mid-term business development by supporting and coaching regional teams in line with Bühler's strategy
  • You lead strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects to increase operational excellence and accelerate the service transformation
  • You act as a solution ambassador, promoting key offerings and ensuring effective rollout and adoption across regions
  • You analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to shape service strategy and identify growth opportunities
  • You develop scalable business concepts in collaboration with regional teams and partners such as BenLink as well as maintain strong customer focus throughout the customer journey and support key accounts from Bühler Uzwil, with up to 20% international travel 
These are the skills you'll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, ideally complemented by additional business training
  • Experience in business development, project management, consulting, or sales – preferably within the food, feed, or milling industry 
  • Strong knowledge in strategic pricing, value selling, and customer value chains, including expertise in financial modelling for both CAPEX and OPEX expenditures and work in a structured, detail-oriented, and solution-driven way
  • Leadership skills, decision-making ability, and a talent for developing teams are key strengths
  • Fluent in English, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills; other languages are a plus
