Role Overview:
As a UK Technical Training Assessor, you will play a key role in supporting the introduction and ongoing maintenance of the Stadler locomotive fleet across the UK. You will deliver both operational and equipment based training and assessments, ensuring technicians develop the knowledge and capability required to carry out both preventive and corrective maintenance.
Strong collaboration will be essential, particularly with colleagues from Stadler Valencia (STAV), who lead on design, build, testing, and commissioning activities. To build your own technical foundation, you will undertake factory visits and spend time working alongside testing and commissioning teams onsite. You will then translate this knowledge into clear, structured training tailored to the needs of our UK workforce.
Experience:
Essential:
• NVQ/BTEC Level 3 in a relevant engineering discipline (electrical bias preferred)
• Strong fault finding capability, including remote and off platform diagnostics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience applying coaching, mentoring or instructional skills in the workplace.
• Excellent IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office packages.
• Proactive Attitude with willingness to travel.
Desirable:
• Experience of working on new Rail Vehicles
• Experience of systems such as Vehicle Control, Digital Networks, Communication, Safety Systems, HVAC, Propulsion, PIS CCTV, and Door Systems.

• HNC Level 4 or above in electrical/electronic systems.
