Areyou highly interested in research and have experience with medical statistics, regulatory processes and data management? The Research Departement of UDEM (University Clinic for Diabetes, Endocrinology, Nutritional Medicine and Metabolism, Inselspital) is looking for a talented individual to join hisresearch organisation team. We are looking for someone with a solid backgroundin clinical research, a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks relatedto research and proven skills in data management and analysis.

What you can expect

Data Management and Archiving:
  • Development and implementation of data management processes in research projects consistent with project objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Support researchers throughout the data lifecycle. Ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of data in compliance with data protection regulations and best practices for data management
  • Development of concepts for the utilisation of data from electronic health records (EHR) in research applications
  • Support researchers in the development of data sharing agreements
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in research data management

Biostatistics and Data Analysis:
  • Collaborate with researchers in designing study protocols, and determining appropriate statistical methods
  • Provide expertise in statistical analysis in medical research projects
  • Oversee the quality and accuracy of statistical data analysis
  • Provide training and guidance for research staff in biostatistical methods and data analysis techniques

Research Compliance and Ethics:
  • Ensure research activities comply with institutional and regulatory standards
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and documentation
  • Coordination of regulatory work (e.g. submissions to the ethics committee, study registrations)
  • Monitor adherence to ethical standards in research practices
Research Operations Management:
  • Participation in activities to innovate and improve research processes
  • Provide advice and support on regulatory questions in the field of clinical research in Switzerland and collaborations with external academic and industrial partners
  • Coordinate and oversee research operations

Your Profile

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., health sciences, medicine, statistics, data science or a related field).
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing data management processes in research settings.
  • Proficiency in medical statistics, including experience in designing study protocols.
  • Ability to oversee and ensure the quality and accuracy of statistical data analysis in research settings.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and best practices in data management. Experience with EPIC is a plus.
  • Understanding of institutional and regulatory standards in clinical research and data protection, particularly within Switzerland.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Good German skill are essential.
  • Proven experience in project management.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to articulate and present complex issues clearly.
  • Demonstrated organizational talent, teamwork, communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
