Your position
Your role will be to lead an excellent research group at the Department of Biomedicine, conducting creative and internationally competitive research in a field of Anatomy, preferably Neuroanatomy, and using model systems relevant to human development or disease. You will also be expected to secure competitive research funding and publish high-quality papers in your field. Alongside your research, you will teach students at the Medical Faculty, while also supervising postdoctoral researchers and PhD students. Additionally, the position includes the leadership and organization of the Neuroanatomy Course.
Your profile
You hold either an MD or PhD, and are habilitated in Anatomy or possess equivalent academic qualifications. You have an outstanding track record in leading a research group and have demonstrated publication of high-quality research. You have broad experience to teach Anatomy with enthusiasm and passion at the university level. Extensive experience in teaching Neuroanatomy is particularly welcomed. Good knowledge of German language is expected. You have an integrative personality and a strong team spirit, with strong interests in interdisciplinary collaborations across Basel and beyond. You are able to create an inspiring work and teaching environment and support the development of your staff and students.
