Senior Assistant in Veterinary Anatomy

At the Division of Veterinary Anatomy, University of Bern, the position of a Senior Assistant in Veterinary Anatomy is to be filled by February 1, 2020.

It involves:
  • extensive autonomous teaching assignments (lectures and practicals, written and oral exams) in gross anatomy, histology and embryology over the first three years of the undergraduate curriculum in veterinary medicine
  • fee-based workshops and postgraduate training courses for practitioners and other interested parties (physiotherapists, veterinary assistants etc.)
  • supervision of Master theses
  • research activities in gross and/or microscopic anatomy
  • administrative and logistic tasks
We exept:
  • degree of DVM
  • doctorate (Dr. med. vet.) or PhD
  • specialization in Veterinary Anatomy of advantage (Fachtierarzt Veterinäranatomie)
  • broad teaching experience and expertise in all the fields of morphology
  • solid research experience and willingness to participate in research projects and in providing scientific support for researchers within the Veterinary faculty and beyond
  • fluency in German (teaching language); basic knowledge of French is a plus
  • strong commitment and supportive attitude
