Your tasks
As a Supply Chain Manager (Signaling), you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement and logistics processes, ensuring the efficient sourcing, acquisition, and delivery of goods and services. Your role will involve identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing logistics, and driving end-to-end supply chain efficiency. Additionally, you will establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to align with the organization's operational and strategic objectives
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Management & Procurement:
• Create and conduct requests for proposals (RFPs) for various systems and components, ensuring competitive sourcing.
• Create, evaluate, and negotiate commercial terms with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, quality requirements and identifying any required flow downs from main customer contracts.
• Coordinate efforts with Engineering team to define technical specifications for various systems and components.
• Place purchase orders.
• Actively manage supplier performance through regular reviews and audits in coordination with the quality management team.
• Support the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) team in handling supplier claims.
Strategic Collaboration & Coordination:
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Project Management, and other teams, to align procurement strategies with business needs.
• Participate in pooling negotiations and coordinate cross-functional procurement activities to leverage economies of scale.
Logistics & Inventory Management:
• Oversee the end-to-end logistics flow for inbound and outbound goods and services, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
• Manage inventory levels effectively, optimizing stock availability while minimizing excess or obsolete materials.
Performance Tracking & Reporting:
• Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for internal and external reporting at both company and project levels.
• Ensure budget compliance and cost optimization within the supply chain function.
Your profile
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, engineering or related field.• A minimum of 2 years' experience in industrial or manufacturing purchasing, rail is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain management and global logistics.
• Strong understanding of supply chain management software and tools, ERP systems (Infor COM or SAP) and inventory management software.
• Strategic mindset, excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
• Leadership and team management experience.
• Knowledge of supply chain regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
• Fluent in English (German is a plus).
