Project Description
Group members are embedded in an international, collaborative, and highly interdisciplinary environment at ZEN. The research group or Prof. Kassraian investigates, in rodents, the behavioral, neural, molecular, and circuit-level mechanisms of social cognition, with close links to clinical research.Tasks
The postdoctoral researcher will take a leading role in the design, execution, and analysis of experiments in social neuroscience, including the implementation of social behavioral assays, rodent stereotaxic surgeries, and neurotransmitter and calcium imaging recordings. Responsibilities also include the publication and presentation of research findings, as well as the supervision of junior researchers.Requirements
- PhD in Neuroscience, Medicine, Biology, Biomedical Sciences and Engineering, or a closely related field
- Strong experimental background, including in vivo calcium imaging (one-photon and/or two-photon), circuit manipulation and tracing techniques, and rodent behavioral assays
- Strong quantitative skills, including programming and computational approaches, are highly desirable
