HOW YOU CAN MAKE AN IMPACT

As a Configuration Management Engineer at Stadler US, you will be responsible for creating and managing processes, tools, and documentation to ensure consistency, accuracy, and traceability across product development lifecycles. You will work closely with other teams to manage configuration baselines, control changes, and support compliance with industry standards.

Key Activities
• Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management processes, standards, and policies.
• Establish and maintain a Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
• Proactively update documentation related to configuration changes.
• Review and process engineering change requests, deviations, and approvals.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure correct documentation and alignment across systems.
• Conduct regular internal audits to verify accuracy and completeness of the database.
• Provide support and guidance to project teams on configuration management practices and tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, computer science, or related field, preferred
• 3+ years of experience in the field of rail vehicle, defense, or aerospace configuration management
• Strong knowledge of configuration management tools and methodologies (e.g. Jira, Doors, etc.)
• Proficient in English (both written and spoken)
• Detail-oriented with a strong attention to accuracy
• Structured, goal-oriented, dynamic and loyal personality
• Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong teamworking skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Familiarity with standards and frameworks (i.e. ISO/TS 22163 IRIS) is a huge plus!
