Your tasks

The APPLICATION ENGINEERING TEAM has the following main objectives:

Managing end-to-end processes for non-standard customer inquiries. This includes understanding customer requirements, providing internal and external consulting), evaluating potential solutions and offers, and coordinating projects execution in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

In this challenging position your key responsibilities are the following:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical clarifications regarding non-standard customer inquiries, in close collaboration with our sales organization and other internal departments
  • The current focus of your portfolio lies in fiber optics applications within the Defence and Renewable Energy sectors
  • Translate customer requirements into feasible products solutions or configurations
  • Implement and coordinate customer projects in accordance with specifications, including the preparation of all necessary documentation in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • Provide consulting and training to both internal and external customers on fiber connectivity and application-specific knowledge

Your profile

We are seeking for a candidate with a hands-on mentality who fulfills the following qualifications:

  • Technical background and further education in a technical area (e.g. dipl. Techniker/in HF or FH)
  • Professional experience in a comparable position and in project management
  • Knowledge of fiber optics is desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with solid methodological competencies
  • Excellent communication skills, combined with a self-disciplined and structured approach to work
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential. Proficiency in German and other languages is considered an asset
  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 10 %) is required
