Research Technician / Assistant (f/m/d) 50%
Our research group focuses on haemato-oncological diseases and stem cell biology, with a particular emphasis on endogenous retrotransposons. We expect you to plan your tasks carefully, execute them precisely, document your results reproducibly and to be proud of your work. Positive work ethics, a collaborative mindset, and a strong interest in translational research are prerequisites for this position.
Main tasks
- Tissue culture of primary cells and cell lines
- Molecular biology including cloning, PCR
- Laboratory Animal work including management of colonies, genotyping and support with experimental procedures
- Active participation in lab organization and duties
Your profile
- Completed training as a laboratory technician and/or a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in life sciences
- Proficiency in written and spoken English, German is a plus
- Experience in laboratory animal work (LTK1 or FELASA B equivalent certificate) or willing to undergo the necessary training
- Previous experience in the above listed tasks, especially cell culture (any stem cell culture experience is a plus), molecular biology techniques or handling animals is highly desirable
- Good organizational skills
- A team player with the ability to learn and to work enthusiastically, open-minded, friendly personality and a flexible character
