Member of the Quality Assurance Team at the GMP Facility for Advanced Therapies (80-90%)

Your position

The state-of-the-art facilities on the USB campus provide all DBM researchers with access to a fully GMP-compliant environment for ATMP manufacturing and regulatory support for translational research projects and clinical trials. The GMP Facility for Advanced Therapies comprises two production sites and a core team of five people. A new facility together with the ETH Zürich is located at the Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering (DBSSE).

Responsibilities include
  • Assisting the transfer of processes from the DBM to the facility at the DBSSE
  • Supplier qualification and audits of material suppliers and service providers as well as material management
  • Assisting the core facility team and users with GMP-compliant documentation
  • Assisting users with the implementation of their projects (from research to GMP)
  • Participating in inspections by regulatory authorities and other audits
  • Validation of Quality Control Assays (FACS)

Your profile

The successful candidate should meet the following requirements
  • Experience in the GMP-compliant manufacturing of (preferably) ATMPs in a cleanroom facility (GMP) according to PIC/S and Swiss legislation
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written), German is an asset
  • University degree in natural sciences (preferably biology)
  • Regulatory experience in a GMP environment
  • High level of reliability and a strong sense of responsibility 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team
