As a Human Resource Generalist, you will focus on understanding what people need and know how to provide it. The HR Generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities. They will help to plan and execute important initiatives related to recruiting and engagement, employee relations, learning and development and compensation and benefits.
Key Responsibilities
• Participate in development and achievement of HR objectives through strategic and tactical application of HR knowledge and experience
• Propose new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the organization as a whole
• Demonstrate discretion and maturity in dealing with confidential information
• Administer leaves of absence including FMLA, STD, LTD, and military leave
• Maintain and update data in HRIS, TAAS, and other systems
• Organize and conduct employee interviews to gain insight and feedback related to company practices, operations, and culture
• Facilitate smooth new hire onboarding process by coordinating interdepartmental collaboration to deliver an exceptional first 90-day experience
• Continually improve efficiency of the HR department as a whole; willingly share best practices and knowledge
• Support compliance issues within company policy and procedures
• Contribute to inclusive work environment through the application of employee relations strategies and conflict management principles
• Coach managers and leaders on effective performance management
• Manage projects and initiatives as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field• PHR or certification is preferred
• 2+ years relevant HR Generalist experience
• Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, HRIS and ATS systems, and comfortable learning new technology systems as needed
• Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
Exceptional business knowledge of HR-related laws, regulations, and practices including EEOC, ADA, DOL, FMLA, etc.
