100% position for 4 years, starting date: immediately or as agreed
The research group “Magnetic Resonance Physics and Methodology” at the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Basel is looking for a PhD candidate.
Your position
You will contribute to a Swiss National Science Foundation funded project aimed at advancing lung MRI in pediatric patients with chronic respiratory diseases. Your role will focus on developing non-invasive MRI techniques to assess lung function and structure. Specifically, you will design and adapt non-Cartesian acquisition methods, tailored to the rapid physiological conditions of young children. The new techniques will be optimized using phantom and in-vivo scans to achieve high spatial and temporal resolution.
You will work within a dynamic team of scientists advancing lung MRI, collaborating across an interdisciplinary project that bridges MRI physics, pneumology, and radiology to translate cutting-edge imaging solutions into clinical impact.
