The Department of Radiation Oncology at Bern University Hospital (Inselspital) is seeking a research fellow / clinical research physician to support research projects in the field of genitourinary (GU) malignancies, with a particular focus on prostate cancer.

What you can expect

  • Design and development of study protocols for prospective and retrospective clinical studies
  • Participation in clinical research projects (prospective and retrospective)
  • Involvement in AI-based projects in radiation oncology
  • Support in the preparation and submission of ethics applications, as well as in the set-up and maintenance of research databases
  • Data analysis, study design and preparation of manuscripts
  • Preparation of scientific presentations (publications, conference abstracts and talks)
  • Support in the preparation of third-party funding applications (grant applications)

Your Profile

  • Medical degree (MD)
  • Interest in clinical research in radiation oncology / GU tumours
  • Previous experience in radiation oncology or in academic research/statistics is desirable but not mandatory
  • Willingness to work in an interdisciplinary team
  • Good written communication skills in a scientific context
