How you make a difference
- As a DevOps system engineer, you have a direct impact on and significant joint responsibility for the successful engineering, life cycle and operation of our RHEL-based systems.
- As part of DevOps, you mainly support our specialist support team, including with complex troubleshooting cases.
- You develop innovative solutions and maintain configurations with Ansible for the Postbus fleet and associated back-end systems.
- During cloud migration, you assist your team in Kubernetes and with AWS topics ranging from design and shift through to container orchestration.
- You work in both the hardware-related area and the back end and keep an eye on the entire PostBus IT system.
- You can adapt flexibly to an ever-expanding environment of scripting and programming languages.
- The development and advancement of our tooling with open source software also represents one of your tasks.
What you have to offer
- You have a degree in informatics (from a higher technical school/university of applied sciences) and solid experience in the RHEL environment, preferably with RHEL9 or higher.
- You are familiar with complex system environments and are confident with Ansible and Python.
- You are well versed in AWS cloud-related topics and bring valuable expertise to the team.
- Experience with technologies such as GitHub Actions, Docker/Podman, Kubernetes, Grafana/Influx, SQL databases or OpenSearch is an advantage.
- Your strengths include a keen understanding of customer requirements, the ability to tailor communication appropriately to the target audience and a sense of team spirit.
- Experience in public transport is a plus.
- You have a good spoken and written command of English and good proficiency in German or French.

We offer a fair salary of between CHF 99'581 -114'581 per year (100% employment level), depending on experience and skills. Talented people with different skills are also welcome to apply. In such cases your salary may be slightly below or above the range
